2008年7月1日，全球酒店業權威雜志《HOTELS》發布了2007年以客房規模排名的酒店公司（集團）300強名單，中國有15家酒店集團上榜，其中內地有8家，比2006年增加了2家。內地上榜的8家公司有3家進入50強、有7家進入100強。內地上榜的8家酒店集團分別是錦江國際（排名17）、金陵（排名48）、粵海國際（排名50）、香港中旅維景（排名51）、首旅建國（排名53）、海航（排名61）、格林豪泰（排名88）、天倫國際（排名142）。2007年，300強前10名的酒店集團沒有發生變化。
HOTELS除了發表300強(Corporate 300 Ranking)排名外，還發布了：
酒店數*多的100家酒店公司(Top Companies By Number Of Hotels)、
客房數*多的100個酒店品牌Top 100 Brands、
特許經營酒店數*多的10家公司(Companies That Franchise The Most Hotels)、
委托管理酒店數*多的10家公司(Companies That Manage The Most Hotels)、
全球*大的25家酒店聯合體(Consortia 25)、
以及跨國*多的15家全球酒店集團(Companies In The Most Countries)，
《HOTELS》把這些排名統稱為“HOTELS' 325”排名(HOTELS' Giant Ranking)。
