光緒元寶（廣東省造）
清光緒十四年（1988年），廣東首次購進由英國伯明翰喜敦造幣廠的全套造幣機械，并聘請外籍技師，開爐鑄壓機制錢。光緒十五年(1889年)由英國伯明翰喜敦造幣廠制模，廣東錢局試制首版機制龍洋（七錢二分銀元），并有輔幣四種。據悉漢字為光緒十二年底時任廣東巡撫、著名金石家、書畫家吳大澂所書。
廣東七二系列的幣模由英國著名雕刻師艾倫·韋恩(Allan Wyon)設計雕刻，刻妥后由喜敦廠轉交廣東錢局，此事曾刊載于1888年5月19日的倫敦《Graphic》雜志。韋恩是德國移民的后裔，其祖父于19世紀初即在倫敦開辦私人的雕刻坊，替各工廠制作錢幣及獎章或紀念章用的模具，艾倫繼父兄之后主持該工作坊，而非受聘于任何造幣廠的雕刻師。顯然各方合作愉快，故后來許多來自英國的中國錢幣模具皆由艾倫操刀。

此幣正面珠圈內鑄有滿漢文“光緒元寶”四字，珠圈外上環英文“廣東省”，下環英文“七錢二分”，兩側為四瓣小花。背面正中為蟠龍圖案，龍紋清晰流暢，棱角分明，龍鱗深邃細膩，線條優美流暢，龍眼炯炯有神，威武霸氣。上環書“廣東省造”四字，下環書“庫平七錢二分”六字，字體書寫大氣磅礴。整體品相精致，審美風格獨持，包漿入骨，熟舊自然，深打字口清楚，流通痕跡明顯，邊齒過關，文字書法極為精湛大氣，間架結構平衡舒展，紋飾清晰，具有很高的投資價值和收藏價值。In the front ring of this coin, the Chinese character "Guangxu Yuanbao" is cast in the Chinese character.
