活性作用：
1.保肝作用水飛薊素為保肝的主要活性成分,具有再生作用,可刺激新的肝細胞形成,改善肝功能;同時具有肝細胞膜保護作用,預防細胞毒素浸潤肝細胞,并提高膜結構缺損的恢復能力。
2.抗氧化 水飛薊素的酚羥基提供氫原子而有強大的抗氧化作用。它們具有清除自由基特性,抗脂質過氧化活性。
3.降血脂 水飛薊賓能抑制成年大鼠心肌細胞質膜Ca2+通道,抑制食物誘導的血膽固醇過高,降低極低密度脂蛋白(VLDL)與低密度脂蛋白(LDL),升高高密度脂蛋白(HDL),可用于心血管系統疾病的治療。
